A modern steel staircase introduces a loft-like feel to the traditionally furnished living room. A large abstract painting by Lamar Briggs hangs on the stair wall, and three modern sculptures by Bruce Gueswel share space with an antique French armoire under the steel staircase. You can see several of the original brick archways; the two leading to the outside are now fitted with French doors.
