Every home has a distinct voice and personality, and a designer needs to listen, says Judith. That personality is determined by the architecture, outdoor surroundings, and, of course, the people who live there. “It’s an entire organic unit,” she says. The flowers in gardens surrounding her Chicago home sparked her interior color palette, while multiple doors helped define furniture placements. Judith has been a designer since 1975, working in Chicago, Atlanta, and Arizona. The couple recently moved permanently to Paradise Valley, Arizona, after building a home there.
