An English Love Affair

Svetlana Silverman maximized space in her renovated 18x18-foot kitchen with a built-in refrigerator, an appliance garage behind a tambour door, and a niche for the toaster. A wine refrigerator is under the counter. Svetlana and her husband, Eric, bought the 1928 Colonial-style house in Boston, with the goal of updating it while remaining true to its heritage. “We love antiques with an occasional mix of other styles,” says Svetlana. “Our mission was to retro-date the house, to bring back its 1928 quality in a fresh way.”
