A custom KraftMaid wood-panel vent hood crowns the Jenn-Air gas convection range and serves to balance the scale of the large island and refrigerator wall. Cabinets and Corian countertops on each side of the range are bumped out a few inches to enhance the focal-point status of the wall. Walker Zanger glass tiles behind the range add understated elegance.
