Light Contemporary Bedroom by Velvet Hammerschmidt

This owner-developed and designed loft is a smart home in which lighting, fans, window treatments, HVAC, digital music, and A/V are all controlled entirely via remote and integrated keypads. Changeable color lighting was designed to express different daytime and nighttime "moods". Over twenty-five different fixture types were used with a total of 197 fixtures throughout the loft. Bottom-up shades and custom floor valances were designed to control the urban views abut allow in natural light and spectacular sky views. High-end finishes and furniture are feature throughout-Bulthaup kitchen cabinets, an eleven-foot Carrara marble kitchen island, end-grain wood floors, green onyx countertops, custom-designed furniture, and built-in millwork.
