Even though we started with a family heirloom table with dark wood and traditional lines, we knew we could create a fresh, modern nook to showcase the client's objets collected during trips abroad. Grass cloth wallpaper gives the space texture and depth without creating a stark, formal gallery setting. An updated wingback chair features squared arms, nailhead detailing and glazed linen with a hint of reflective sheen. The persimmon pillow, which reflects colors in artwork on the wall, adds an important pop.
