Classic Traditional Kitchen by Adrienne Dorig

My clients wanted to update their plain white kitchen, maximize their storage, and have plenty of space for children and grandchildren. To complement their home's traditional styling I incorporated hand-carved moldings and cabinetry in a painted and glazed finish. Moving the cooking center to the back wall allowed us to create a focal point with an arched crown. Pull-outs behind decorative rope legs provide storage and put all of their spices and oils at their fingertips. A new appliance garage and mixer lift keeps the counter clutter-free. And by increasing the size of the island, I was able to include a drawer plate organizer, making it easy for children to help set the table. Their newly expanded nook is large enough to seat eight and includes built-in bench with drawers to store seasonal items. Now my clients enjoy a warm family gathering space rich in detail and full of function.
