2010 NKBA Design Competition - Small Kitchen: Third Place
Silk, marble, and crystal are the elegant materials used to adorn this petite kitchen. Frosty white raised panel cabinetry with crystal knobs sit above and below a Turkish marble subway tile backsplash. This well-dressed kitchen was neatly incorporated into the space of an 1800's Federal style home. Jacobean dark stained flooring and taupe silk wall covering draw out the colored veins and shading in the marble. Limited space requires maximum efficiency in the usability of this hard-working stylish space. An adjoining laundry room offers additional storage with the continuity of white cabinetry, along with insets incorporated for a microwave and electric crisper.
