The use of calming colors in this family room helps this family kick back in style. The rich colors of light teal, gold, brown, white and black in the rug help set the color palette. For an accent wall, a rich teal was used, which highlights the beautiful fireplace. Gold and teal striped Roman shades dress the windows without covering the light or architectural trim surrounding them. Complementing the area rug and making a statement in the room is a chocolate chenille sectional, which adds comfort and a contemporary feeling to the room. Texture is added to the area with textured pillows in many of the colors found in the rug. The leather ottoman adds comfort and functionality for the family. The entire area is accessorized simply, and the pear artwork accents the golds, browns and teal used throughout the space.
