Light Contemporary Kid's Room by Amanda Moore

This particular client hired us not only to design their nursery but to build the room itself! They were becoming first-time parents and had a large one bedroom in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. We swiftly got our contractor to work putting up two walls to form the room within the oversized living room and created a design for the nursery around a tree mural that the client wanted her father, a very gifted artist, to paint on the wall for their baby. We developed the room's color scheme around his creation (most notably the custom rug from Twinkle Living) and otherwise stuck to a clean minimalist selection of furniture and accessories for the small space. We achieved a modern feel with accents of nature, organic products, and the personalized touch of grandpa's painted tree.
