Locally made cabinetry and the soapstone counter tops and the ceramic tile backsplash used in the kitchen area are natural materials with long lifecycles and are recyclable. The hardwood flooring was from salvaged material and pieced in to match the home's original hardwood floor. The floors were refinished using Low-VOC stains and sealers. Dunn Edwards Eco Spec Low VOC paint was used throughout.
