My inspiration always starts with the client, their needs and location, in that order. This was a brand new vanilla box condo in a high rise building. It is to be their vacation home now and could become their permanent home at retirement. Located on a marsh within the beautiful community of Daniel Island. The location offers both serene marsh views and a bustling village. I wanted it to feel like they are on vacation when they are here, but not to be literal of the island surroundings. It needed to be sophisticated, yet relaxed.

The furnishings I selected needed to warm up the 'vanilla box' to a homey atmosphere. It had a fresh coat of paint everywhere, so painting the walls was not a consideration. I needed the furnishings to do all the work. I invested in quality pieces that would have longevity in quality and style. The key to this successful interior was that the clients trusted my judgement on direction and selection. I was able to pull all the elements together in this open floor plan for cohesiveness in the colors, function and style.
