Nature-inspired materials and colors blend with stainless steel and glass surfaces in this Baltimore kitchen for a fresh take on Old World style. Linen-white painted cabinets were rubbed with a truffle-colored glaze to give them a golden glow worthy of Italy. Granite countertops in Cabernet Brown are finished with wire brushes for a distressed leather look. The island is dark-stained cherry finished with a charcoal glaze, and topped with matte-finish Jerusalem Gold limestone. The space is grounded with Italian travertine floor tiles reminiscent of old European cobblestones.
