Serene Master Bedroom

It took 150 yards of luxurious fabric and trim to transform this master bedroom into a space that feels warm and welcoming. As its centerpiece, the spacious room boasts an upholstered headboard tucked into a billowing canopy treatment. The joyful robin's-egg-blue-and-ivory patterned linen -- which is also used in the pleated valance, side curtains, and duvet -- draws attention to the bed and ties its pillows, linens, and bed skirt together. Equally elaborate window treatments were executed in creamy silk. A blue band and silk passementerie trim were sewn together, then applied to the edges of the valances and drapery panels.
