A soft palette and Karastan carpet create a serene setting in this Chicago bedroom. To prevent the gray walls from casting a gloomy spell on the room, homeowner and designer Judith Nadler Ellerman perked up the palette with warm yellows, golds, and peaches. A window arch frames an antique French dough box against the far wall.
