There are many different Christmas tree philosophies, and we want to hear yours. If you have decked the halls, we would like to see how.
Charles Dickens Christmas. This school of Christmas thought is a more-is-more, ye-olde-world look, as in the room seen above — the look of a classic Christmas card.
Modern mix. This holiday group eschews red and green in favor of color schemes such as hot pink and blue. In this case brighter is better and nothing says “holiday” more than nonconformity.
Does your tree go modern or traditional at Christmas? Post a photo in the Comments!
Merry minimalist Christmas. This way of thinking holds that you need nothing more than a string of lights to ignite the holiday, as seen above. No fancy ornaments, no glittering tinsel and no colorful garlands — just the simplicity of an evergreen and small white lights.
A Charlie Brown Christmas. This decor strategy is similar to minimalism, but it uses either a diminutive tree or bare branches and just a few ornaments to make merry.
Tree, what tree? Houzz is filled with clever homeowners who make trees from tape, hats, wire or another unexpected material.
The advantage is that you get a head-turning look that you don’t need to water or work too hard (usually) to disassemble.
Your turn: We want to see and hear about your personal holiday decorating style.
Post pictures of your tree in the Comments below and tell us about it. Your tree could be featured in an upcoming story for the Houzz homepage and newsletter.
