Bath Renovations - traditional - bathroom - dc metro
Wow! Everyone loves this powder room bathed in silver! This simple, elegant 5x7 bath in an historic home has a 1920's feel with its pull chain toilet, basketweave tile and etched glass mirror. The incredible crystal ceiling light is the perfect touch! Benjamin Moore paint HC 105 from the Historical Collection is on both the ceiling and walls. We could get away with the darker color for a ceiling b/c of the 10 ft height with a west facing window coupled with the ceiling light, sconces and white trim. You may not want such a dark color on your ceiling. The 105 is also a gray with brown tones. As always, get a sample, put some on each wall and check it out at various times of the day before deciding to go with any color. Design by Carol Luke. Photo by Morgan Howarth.
