Guest Picks: Pretty Plates for Walls and Tables

Plates aren’t just for the kitchen! In my house they adorn the wall of my daughter’s bedroom, and I have some on display in the dining room. And the family room has a wall of shelves with a few plates tucked in for layering purposes.

Plates are a versatile decorating tool, and I’ll admit that I have a minor obsession. I absolutely love the look of decorative plates around the home. Of course, I use them for serving as well, and sometimes I’ll even switch out hanging plates for that purpose. Or I’ll switch them out for the change of the season or just because of a wonderful flea market score. I have a cabinet with a mismatched collection that I use for both decorating on a whim and appetizers or dessert. As a bonus, they’re easy to hang with modern plate hangers.

Below are myriad plates to tickle your fancy. Maybe you’ll like them on the wall, or maybe you’ll prefer them with food on top. Either way, a few from this fun collection will enhance the beauty of your home. — Erin from Two Story Cottage
