One of the rights of passage for a child is determining his or her favorite color. It may seem trivial to an adult, but as a child, it is quite important, as it’s a question you’ll be asked over and over again. I determined early on that my favorite color was purple. When asked, I would proudly declare, “Purple!” As an adult, my home is mostly neutral, but I still have a strong affinity for purple. Of course, since I want to be taken seriously, I now prefer the more sophisticated term, “lavender.”

Lavender Tea Towels, Set of 3 - $43 These towels would be such a welcome, happy sight in any kitchen. They add a lovely touch of Provence.


Eureka Pet Lover Oh! Bagless Upright Vacuum, Purple - $83.99 I’m not going to lie; I don’t like housework. But if I had a pretty vacuum like this, I like to think I could warm to the idea of vacuuming.
