My family and I recently moved into a farmhouse with open shelving, a marble backsplash and butcher block countertops. It’s the perfect backdrop for my favorite style of kitchen and dining items: Scandinavian and midcentury. This ideabook is a collection of items, for both decor and dining, that encompasses everything I love: whites and light colors, blonde wood accents and the occasional bit of color. — Tami from Running with Tweezers
Hasami Porcelain Mugs - $26 Everything about these mugs, matching spoons and coasters makes me swoon. They’re superfunctional, easy to store and easy on the eyes.
Stockholm Serving Bowl, Walnut - $29.99 I think everyone needs one really great wood statement serving piece. This oval bowl-platter hybrid would look good on almost any counter or kitchen table.
Universal Expert Condiment Set - $30 For serving condiments at a dinner or party, this is essential. It keeps everything together and looks way better than random bowls and ramekins.
Stelton Bamboo Bowl - GBP 119.95 I have a vintage Dansk salad bowl that I adore, but they’re tough to find in excellent condition. This serving bowl has the same vibe but with a more modern design and metal.
Kaico Enamel Pasta Pot - $190 The mod, minimalist design of this pot means you don’t have to be embarrassed if it’s left out on the stovetop. In fact, it’s almost too pretty to put away.
Vintage Le Creuset #14 Cocotte - $95 I love individual crocks for things like macaroni and cheese and gratins at parties. These dark brown ones have a retro vibe, and the design is pure Scandinavian.
2-Piece Acacia Stacking Platter Set - $39.95 How cool is this serving piece? It would make for an amazing fruit display or cheese plate.
Kiki Beechwood Grinders - $44.95 These salt and pepper grinders have such a vintage Scandinavian vibe — I can’t stand it! They even come with a smaller price tag than the originals.
Montana Acacia and Glass Jars - $14.95 For the most part, I can’t stand canisters. They’re a waste of valuable real estate on my kitchen counter. These, however, are different. The clear glass and the wood tops make them more like display pieces.
Stockholm Espresso Cups, Set of 2 - $9.99 These espresso cups feel so light. They’re less clunky and chubby than the usual espresso set. The price point is also right for bone china.
Enamelware Teapot - $29 I’m going through a tea phase, and it’s tough finding a teapot that hits on form and function. I love this enamelware version, and I love that the handle is attached, so there’s no risk of loosening parts (like with some other kettles).
Duralex Tumblers, Medium, Set of 6 - $19 I have open shelving in the new kitchen, so I’ve been looking for stylish, simple tumblers that stack well. These are them. They’re all-purpose glasses for juice, wine or water.
Enamelware Dinnerware, Red, Set of 4 - $24 A little dose of color never hurt anyone, especially when it comes on sturdy and sensible enamelware. This is dinnerware you’ll want to put on display.
Mortar & Pestle - $90 This is one of the chicest, simplest mortar and pestles I’ve ever seen. It would make a beautiful display on the kitchen counter or shelves.
Råskog Kitchen Cart, Dark Gray - $49.99 Scandinavian design is known for its smart storage solutions. This Ikea cart is an amazing value. It comes in chic colors, is relatively compact and sturdy, and has wheels.
Fresh Soil-Dipped Wooden Spoons, Set of 3 - $29 I absolutely love these color-dipped wooden spoons. The colored handles are a very cool update for a kitchen classic.
White Dipped Cutting Board - $19.99 Not only is this cutting board functional and easy to store (just hang on the wall), but it’s pretty enough to use as a cheese board or serving piece too.
Sawyer Flatware Collection - $11.96 I’m currently obsessed with vintage flatware. I just had to have a set with wood or teak handles. This one has a vintage design — just look at that knife — at an attainable price.
Socker Greenhouse - $19.99 I’ve always wanted an indoor space for growing herbs, and this small greenhouse box is so stylish and cool. It would be amazing for those who have enough kitchen counter space, but it could also work as a centerpiece on a kitchen or dining table.
Gripande 2-Piece Salad Server Set, Bamboo/White - $5.99 These dip-dyed salad servers could work in any season, and the price point is low enough that you won’t be so worried about messing them up.
