I know so many people who are putting “Get better sleep” on their resolution lists this year. Whether you need a more comfortable place for laying your head or a little help relaxing into sleep, there are plenty of products that will help you get some more z’s. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite fun, functional and funky pieces to help make counting sheep a thing of the past. — Erin from House of Earnest
The Clementina Coral Duvet Cover - $89 Bright coral is the perfect happy color for the bedroom. I love it paired with navy and emerald green for an updated classic look.
Lavender Linen Sachet - $12 Fall asleep with a lavender eye pillow for a restful night, or just tuck a couple between your headboard and mattress for a scent that lingers. This one from Crane & Canopy is wrapped in natural linen.
Chloe Duvet Cover - $198 This white duvet cover is gathered and bunched, giving a bed that always-fluffy, fall-into-it appearance. I like that it’s a bit feminine; it would be well balanced with a masculine leather headboard or heavy wood side tables.
Middle Colors Humidifier, Pink - $119.99 Finally, here’s a not-ugly humidifier for the bedroom; you won’t have to stash it away at the mere thought of company. This cute, colorful, vase-like version will keep you snoozing soundly through the dry winter months.
Dottie Flannel Blanket, King - $118 Fun and functional, this cozy flannel blanket will keep you toasty without sacrificing style. Add a few fun colors to the neutral background or mix patterns with some floral sheets. The sky is really the limit on how classic or how funky this could be.
This Works Deep Sleep Heavenly Candle - $41.21 Although this is pricey for a candle, the company claims you’ll sleep better once your senses are soothed with its lavender and chamomile combo. Maybe it’s worth a try!
Geo Flora Sheet Set, Dark Gray - $168 Fun patterned sheets are probably my favorite part of making the bed. I always go with a solid duvet and a pattern on the sheets to give a little pop of interest to an otherwise classic look. These Geo Flora sheets from Anthropologie are one of my favorites.
Dream Zone Sleep Mask - $7.99 If you’re like me and have a partner who likes to fall asleep with the TV on, try a sleep mask. This one is silk and has an adjustable band for comfort. I have this exact design since college and love it!
Gila Quilt - $218 For a whole lot of wow in an otherwise neutral room, you cannot go wrong with a quilt from Anthropologie. They’re seriously soft, superfluffy and just waiting to make a home in your home.
Philips HF3520 Wake-Up Light With Colored Sunrise Simulation, White - $160.99 I am a huge believer in waking up to natural sunlight, but if your alarm sounds long before the sun rises, try this little trick: a gradually brightening light that simulates the sunrise. Now that’s a bright idea!
Phoenix Down Reversible Feather Bed - $87.79 This is quite the bed topper. I love a feather bed but totally need the support of a firm mattress, so I compromise with a topper for my Tempur-Pedic. They’re also wonderful if your guest room mattress isn’t that great, and you want to give the folks who stay a little more comfort.
Fashion Bed Martinique Headboard, Ivory, Full/Queen - $263.95 A soft upholstered headboard not only is beautiful, but certainly helps any middle-of-the-night head thunks, leading, of course, to a much, much better night’s sleep. I love this one’s tufted detailing and cream color; the look is a nice mixture of masculine and feminine. Buy on Houzz
Charmeuse II Mocha Satin Sheet Set - $36.89 Satin sheets might get a bad rap, but did you know that they’re better for your hair? I’ve heard that satin sheets help strands slide around at night and reduce breaking and splitting. I’m at least going to switch to satin pillowcases.
Sparrow Nightstand, Gray - $400 Keep bedtime essentials close at hand with a cool nightstand. This gray and wood-grain style from Oeuf would add a clean, mod touch to a bedroom. Buy on Houzz
Black and White Spotted Pillow - $50 I'm not fond of animal prints in the bedroom, but this darling spotted pillow is more chic than sleek.
Kassatex Letto Tribeka Collection Duvet - $100 For those who want the luxe look of a hotel bed, this embroidered set is perfect. It’s crisp and white, and it has a little personality to keep it from being boring.
Threshold Organic Blanket - $30.99 If you need an extra layer this winter, pile on these darling blankets from Target’s Threshold line. With varying weaves and colors, they’ll complement your other linens and help you stay warm in the process.
Nate Berkus Border Knit Throw, White and Black - $34.99 I’m a big fan of black and white, and this bordered blanket is about as classic as they come. It’s one of those pieces that will go with everything.
Nate Berkus Decorative Woven Pillow With Side Fringe - $34.99 Soften your room with stylish pillows. I love adding tons of texture in neutral shades for a funky yet still relaxing feel.
Corsica Linen Bedskirt - $128 I’m in love — with a bedskirt. (Those are words I never thought I’d say!) Sure, it’s a little pricey, but most bedskirts are stodgy and boring, and this has the essence of a beach breeze.
