Unlike most people from the Midwest, my favorite time of the year is winter. I don’t mind the cold as long as I have a comfy throw, and I don’t mind the dwindling daylight as long as I have a fire burning. There are a few pieces that I love for how they add to the festive and cozy nature of this season, a season made for hunkering down with the people we love and sharing our homes and our time. No matter your personal style, metallics and neutrals can add a little bit of brightness to the dark nights of winter. — Erin from House of Earnest
Falling Feather Cocktail Napkins - $40 These feather napkins are perfect for the entire fall and holiday season. They’re just subtly seasonal, so leaving them out from November through February isn’t an issue.
Signe Lamp - $148 Simple but with a hint of subtle glamor, this lamp would make a great addition to a side table, or a set would be gorgeous on a buffet.
Angles Table Runner, Bronze - $98 This table runner is a wonderful mix of geometric design and gold without being too fancy. I love how casual it is, but it could also be mixed with some high-sparkle accessories to make it a little fancier.
Silver Slate Cheese Board - $38 A slate cheese board would be perfect for entertaining. This one has a casual luxury that would balance a rustic table setting.
Stone Forest Coaster Set - $34 These coasters are something else, aren’t they? The grain is just gorgeous — they’re almost too pretty to use! I might even consider using tiny plate hangers to display them as wall art.
Blue Pinstripe Linen Kitchen Tea Towel by Bonnbonn - $24 Blue pinstripe napkins are so classic. They are perfect mixed with warm woodsy accents like pinecones and birch for the holidays, and they would also be amazing in the spring with some brighter colors. The raw edge is wonderfully casual, and because they’re linen, they’ll be beautiful for years to come.
Abstract Photography, Christmas Lights by Carolyn Cochrane - $30 What’s cozier than twinkling lights in winter? Nothing. This bokeh (blurred) art print is sure to brighten up any winter decor.
Large Antique French Limoges Serving Dish by Maintenant - $78 Vintage pieces like this serving dish bring a ton of character to the table. Use it to begin your own collection of heirlooms.
Vintage Black Side Table by Charlie's Nest - $89 How about a little perch for your mittens and hat when you walk in the door? This vintage side table would be perfect not only for a foyer, but as a bedside table or an extra surface in the bathroom.
The Trees Photo Pillow Cover - $38 Photo-realistic textiles were such a big idea this year in clothing, so I’m sure they’re going to get even bigger in home decor. I can picture this tree iteration in my home with the rest of the decor. It would add such a fun little winter element with the evergreens.
The Edge Modern Organic Cutting Board, Black Walnut by Taylor Donsker Design - $50 I have a thing for beautiful cutting boards. If I had more space, I’d grow my collection with these unique faceted-edge designs. I would use them for more than just cutting veggies too — they’d make wonderful cheese plates or trivets.
Linen Tea Towel, Black Trim With White Skis - CAD 18 This has been my favorite tea towel lately. It is the perfect mix of rustic and whimsical.
Crochet-Trimmed Sheets - $148 Organic cotton and a natural-colored crochet edge drew me to this sheet set. I love the white and natural mix; I’m definitely thinking about splurging on these! They would add a nice natural touch under my black and white polka dot duvet set.
Feather Party Garland - $40 Throw a party or just enjoy the fun, natural beauty of this feather banner for any reason. With its varying hues of brown and leather string, it would be really fun as a focal piece above a bed in a little boy’s room.
Lucia Cowhide Stool - $448 The texture of cowhide mixes well with a splash of gold sparkle. A set of these would look awesome peeking out from beneath a console table.
Birch Trees Table Decor - $21 Perch these birch trees around the house all winter long. I like that they can be used as mantel decor or even as cute little additions to side tables or bookshelves.
Primitive 64 Chest of Drawers by Red Rooster Bed and Breakfast - $1,300 If you have a collection of anything that needs a home (like all of my flatware does), this would be perfect. There are 64 tiny drawers to house everything from extra bud vases to candlesticks to serving utensils.
The Ottoman, Robin Plaid Recycled Wool - GBP 215 An ottoman with wheels is wonderful during the entertaining season, because it moves around nicely to accommodate anyone who needs a seat. This one comes in a ton of other fabrics and patterns, but I like this scarlet and oatmeal plaid; it could add a little interest to the living room.
Fresh Boxwood Wreath, Ivory Ribbon - $39.95 Wreaths can be very specific to the holidays, but this boxwood one could grace the door all season long. The simple white ribbon looks so fresh against the greenery.
Handmade Cheese Markers by Nelle Design - $32.50 These are my favorite cheese markers. They’re made to order, so you can specify which cheeses you like most.
