Guest Picks: Camp Out in Coziness at Home

If you're crazy like me and decided to take an intensive physics course over the summer, maybe your plan to escape for a fun camping weekend has been nixed. But even though I traded tents and campfires for geometric optics and atomic physics, I still believe I can, at the very least, bring the essence of camping into my home — even if it is just me sipping coffee at 11:00 at night out of my Stanley thermos while I bask in the glow of my LED screen. Seriously, though, I love each and every one of these items, and I kind of think camping out at home sounds amazing! — Camilla from Champagne Bubbles

traditional throws by Pendleton
Merino Throw, MacGill Tartan - $118 » I kind of love how the colors in this throw can take you from camping to Christmas!

contemporary fireplace accessories by Best Made Company
Canvas Log Basket - $120 » I don't even have a fireplace, but I still want a basket for firewood in my house. Is that so wrong?

contemporary kids products by The Land of Nod
A Tepee to Call Your Own, Orange Stripe - $159 » I spent a good portion of my youth building blanket forts and "camping out" indoors. If I had kids, I'd love to get them a tepee like this one to really enhance the experience.

contemporary accessories and decor by Pendleton
Natural Agate Nightlight - $35 » Instead of sleeping under the light of the moon and stars, I can sleep next to the glow of an agate nightlight. I think this should be the standard for nightlights.

modern cups and glassware by Best Made Company
Seamless & Steadfast Enamel Steel Cups - $32 » These enamel steel cups boast that they are the best on the market. And I have to say, they just beg to be filled with hot cocoa.

traditional by Best Made Company
Metal First Aid Kit, Small - $48 » Everybody needs a first aid kit when camping. And one this stylish needs to be displayed somewhere in my house.

traditional food containers and storage by West Elm
Stanley Thermoses - $19 » Stanley thermoses are simply the best. And are you thinking what I'm thinking? Put coffee in one of the big thermoses and Bailey's in the flask. Then mix. Happy camping!

contemporary cookware and bakeware by Pedlars
Campfire Cooker - GBP 93.50 » This is the real deal: an outdoor campfire cooker. I imagine everything would just taste better using this setup.

modern cookware and bakeware by Best Made Company
Sarpaneva Cast Iron Pot, 3 Quart - $295 » There is nothing like cooking in cast iron; I am a firm believer in that fact. And the removable oak handle on this sturdy pot makes me think it might be the best piece of cookware ever made.

contemporary artwork by Pendleton
Hand-carved Barn Owl - $98 » What's a campout without an owl nearby? This little guy is too cute.

contemporary cookware and bakeware by Coleman
Cast Iron Bacon Press - $16.99 » I don't eat bacon, but if I did, I'd use this cast iron bacon press to cook some while camping. That's for sure.

contemporary food containers and storage by West Elm
Takenaka Bento Boxes - $39 » I think bento boxes would be perfect for hiking, road trips, camping, school lunches and so much more. These are kind of a must-have for me.

traditional outdoor products by Coleman
54-quart Green Steel Belted Cooler - $119.99 » I'm not into plastic coolers or anything that doesn't feel really solid. That's why I need this authentic steel cooler for all of my camping beverages.

modern cups and glassware by Pendleton
Glacier Park Travel Mug - $28 » I spend a lot of time in the car driving to and from class and lab, so I kind of love the idea of taking a piece of camp with me everywhere I go. I love this Pendleton travel mug.

eclectic serveware by Pendleton
Elk and Doe Salt and Pepper Shakers - $78 » Elk and doe salt and pepper shakers will spice up campfire (or cooktop) feasts.

contemporary originals and limited editions by Pendleton
American Bison Art - $330 » I may not have the great outdoors around me, but I can bring some wildlife to the party with cool bison art. After watching the Discovery Channel show North America, I became obsessed with bison.

traditional hammocks by Hammocks
XL Brazilian Fabric Hammock with Fringe - $99.99 » Rest and relaxation are of the utmost priorities for my camp-at-home experience. Naturally, a gorgeous hammock is essential.

contemporary outdoor lighting by Pier 1 Imports
Black Metal Lanterns - $12 » I'd love to scatter these lanterns around my house and light candles inside them.

contemporary barware by Pendleton
Deer Cocktail Napkins - $78 » Another camping accessory that can take you from summer to winter are these deer cocktail napkins. Though, I suppose if you're using cocktail napkins while camping, it's officially considered "glamping."
