Maplewood Residence - bathroom - other metro

This project is for a new Kitchen, Mudroom and Master Bathroom in an existing 1890's pattern book clapboard house in Maplewood, New Jersey. The design solution eliminates the numerous small and choppy spaces and unites them into one, united loft-like kitchen space. The design in both layout and aesthetic mediates between the traditional language of the house and the owner's desired modern aesthetic. A new freezer and refrigerator are clad in long ceramic tile and bookend the working surface of the new kitchen.
