The owners of this condominium wanted to transform their outdated bathrooms into spa-like retreats. The concept was to create a soothing and timeless design while maintaining the existing footprint of the current bathrooms. Existing structural columns and plumbing stack locations were integrated into the design.

Continuity between the bathrooms was important and was created by using similar materials in each bathroom - Spanish marble on the floors and walls, and quarter sawn walnut for the custom floating vanities. Design interest was created with glass tiles - 1x8 glass mosaic tiles in the master bath and 4x12 glass tiles in the guest bath. Minimalist, square trimless down lighting was used throughout. Contemporary and energy efficient perimeter cove lighting creates a floating ceiling plane while highlighting the tile walls in soft light.

Custom designed floor-to-ceiling cabinetry provides ample storage and an open display niche in the master bathroom. The design of the bathrooms achieves the look and feel of a luxury hotel with functionality and comfort for daily enjoyment.
