Big Shells Offer a Sea of Decorating Possibilities

Giant shells are very stylish and can be used for a slew of decorating needs around the house. I can't think of any other piece that can so easily be a bowl, vase or bathroom sink or an elegant stand-alone piece. Whether you're using a resin shell or the real deal, large clamshells are a real catch.
For formal entertaining, put felt pads on the bottom of a large shell like this one from Ballard Designs and use it on the dining room table as a base for a one-of-a-kind candlelit centerpiece.
