Decorating: Holiday Mantels

Unusual mantels provide an opportunity for dramatic treatment. A huge Della Robbia wreath of apples, pears, berries, nuts, pinecones, and fresh evergreen bows forms a focal point for the family room. The wreath type was named after the 15th century Italian sculptor who framed his subjects in flowers and fruit.
