In the master bedroom, Lysdahl added interest underfoot with a Parisian-style herringbone floor. “The installers were ready to kill me,” he recalls. “They had laid the entire floor out the wrong way, and I said, ‘No, no, no, no, no! It has to go lengthwise to have the most impact.’”
